The Maltlands Park Volunteer Group has been setup to assist the local council maintain this small park and lake on the outskirts of Weston-Super-Mare. Working in conjunction with the local council the group have set out plans to clean up and maintain this lovely tranquil green space and lake. This February (2015) the council appointed a Park Warden to patrol Maltlands Park and the surrounding area to try and stem the issue of dog owners not clearing up after their pets.
